Everything Everywhere All At Once

Welcome back to the world's best movie critic blog!!  I am so excited to talk about the movie "Everything Everywhere All At Once" for this blog! This movie is about a couple who runs a laundromat, but runs into some struggles with the IRS. (Scary, I know right) This is where the couple then learns about the parallel universe (Cool, I know right!) This film has a lot to do with nihilism. Nihilism is a belief that life is so called "meaningless", or it has "extreme skepticism maintaining that nothing in the world has a real existence." This idea is interesting to watch in a film. The parallel universe obviously doesn't have a real existence, but it is enticing to watch because of the "what ifs". What if we do/did have a parallel universe? It makes the brain start working and thinking. I don't think I have ever really watched a movie like this, so it was very interesting for my first time. I think that everyone should go give this movie

Moonlight

Welcome back to the world's best movie critic blog!! This past week, I watched the movie Moonlight that is directed by Barry Jenkins. Moonlight had many different deeper meanings to it. The movie shows many different times in his life such as when he was young, a teenager, and an adult, so it was evident how the healing process went for Chiron. Another theme that stood out to me was sexual identity. It was obvious at some points that Chiron lacked masculinity, which caused him to be bullied by many peers. This is also something that teenagers deal with every

Lexi Lawley Project 2  June 20, 2024    Welcome back fellow movie fans!! Thanks for coming back to the world’s best movie critic blog! The last time we talked, I told my fellow movie lovers about my interests in movies! However, for this blog, I want to talk about movie trailers. Trailers make or break whether somebody is going to watch the movie or not. Therefore, it is crucial to have a trailer that is eye-catching and interesting. And that is developed by specific details that are built within the trailer.  I want to talk more about specifically the trailer of my favorite movie, the Disney movie Starstruck. The official trailer of Starstruck, in my opinion, doesn’t really do the movie justice. It is mostly filled with funny scenes from the movie which, don’t get me wrong, can be a real crowd getter, but there is so much drama that is also in the movie that isn’t shown in any way by the trailer.   The first detail that really stood out to me was the music that was playing in the ba
